Green Open Access’  Also known as self-archiving, is where the author uploads a copy of their article to a freely accessible institutional repository. The policy of each journal is different, some allow authors to archive either pre-print or post-print versions of their articles and some may restrict access with an embargo period. (Source: SHERPA)
