Interlibrary Loan (ILL) at Old Westbury

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a free service that allows Old Westbury students, staff, and faculty to request articles, books, and other material from other libraries.

An ILLiad account must be created to request Interlibrary Loan items.

ILLiad is the electronic system you use to request an item through Interlibrary Loan.

The name ILLiad is an acronym for InterLibrary Loan Internet Accessible Database.

Instructions for Creating An Account

  1. Go to the Library Home Page, hover over Services and select Inter-library Loan
  2. To create an account go to First Time Users New User Create Account
  3. Review the institutions and policy page for Inter-library Loans then continue to the bottom of the page and select First Time Users undefined
  4. Fill out all the required fields on the New User Registration for ILLiad page. You must use your SUNY Old Westbury email. undefined
  5. At the bottom of the page select Submit Information, you will then be taken to your Inter-library Loan account.
