Human Resources Research Steps

Human Resources (HR) Books: this is a good place to start.  It could be books with an employment law theme.  Hint: Nolo is a great publisher for these types of legal-related guides, often written by lawyers and always designed for an end-user who isn't a practicing attorney.  Then there are other titles.  For more information, click on the "Books" tab.

Current HR Articles and News: this is where you'll find some of the latest and most up-to-date HR information.  Recently, the biggest news topic in the HR world involves the new healthcare law, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act..  Regardless of what happens in the federal court system, HR professionals are already planning for the future with this important law.

Finally, we have HR Web Resources and Data.  Whether it's government data or something from an HR professional association, these are some web-based resources worth checking out.
