Interlibrary Loan (ILL) at Old Westbury

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a free service that allows Old Westbury students, staff, and faculty to request articles, books, and other material from other libraries.

Return Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Items

If you currently have Interlibrary loan item(s) in your possession, you may either:

  1. Request a renewal from the lending library.
  2. Return the item(s) to the dropbox at the entrance of the library (no appointment needed).
  3. Return the item(s) via USPS (United States Postal Service) and email us the tracking number associated with the item. Our mailing address is SUNY at Old Westbury P.O. Box 229 Old Westbury, New York 11568 
  4. If you are unable to do any of the above, please email us.

You are responsible for returning these item(s) and may be billed for their replacement if you fail to return them or contact us.

Renewing Item(s): Please renew the item(s) on the ILLiad. Here are the instructions on how to renew the item(s).

Books Returned via DropBox: Item(s) that are return to the library drop box will be quarantined for 3 days then processed.  Optional: To guarantee your item(s) have been received, please email us your name, #700, and title of item(s) returned.
